Expectation versus reality. There are probably billions of people who really never gave it a thought and never expected to be there right now, at this moment, as we're reading this. But hell is a reality and we'd better start getting a grip on that reality. Not a pleasant thought; most folks just don't want to begin allowing there minds to go down that road. I've been trying to track down a friend from high school. The second to last time I saw him we were still in college. He was the lead in a local music group, playing his piano in an old haunt, The Hairy Buffalo. Had lightening fingers and an amazing talent. Roll the tape forward a few years after we all got on with life. Next time was in San Francisco on a business trip. By that time he had his PhD in microbiology and was on the lead team that first cracked the genetic code of the human genome. Heady stuff. He's now deceased. He lived his entire life and cracked the code for the 1st 2 inches of his life. But what about the rest of the rope?
