We know the story well, almost too well. It's been rehearsed so often that the realities of the event have been lost. It's become a very nice story, almost fable-like in its delivery over the centuries. But the Lord of the universe very decidedly folded into that most significant event low-life, dirty, ceremonially unclean shepherds.
We've all had the experience. You know the person...hasn't got a clue about the huge blind spot they've got and your first instinct is to find the nearest exit. On top of that, their arrogance trumps everyone's opinion in the room. Nancy addresses that potential tendency in all of us and delves into what Peter has to say on the matter.
Sometimes it's a little tough finding the right title when these sermons are uploaded. This week's title was captured from Nancy's opening remarks, referring to the most recent events of terrorism, France and now California. As a nation, we're coming very close to completely dissing God. The world is continuing to go in the wrong direction, but God's involvement in our lives and the peace we experience is so intertwined with our willingness to submit. Submission is today's focus.
