This Christmas morning the bells ring out. In this case, Jesus made statements of Himself that has forever changed the entirety of history and the world.

or more precisely, are you willing to meet God? It's always been about the heart.
We continue our discussion of the Wise Men's journey to pay homage to Jesus. This time our perspective is affected by Herod's reaction to their visit, its ramifications, and the admonitions that can be derived from this story to each of us.
There are lots of surprises about that age old legend of the three wise men at the baby Jesus' manger. First off, Jesus was about 2 years old when they paid their visit and homage. And home was actually in a home, not a cattle stable. We're not sure if Mary and Joseph were residing in or near Jerusalem, still around Bethlehem, or already in Nazareth for sure. But let's not spoil all the detail. There's a point much deeper than merely delivering frankincense and myrrh.
As we approach Christmas, Pastor Nancy continues the journey of our salvation story.
This week we're examining Gabriel's announcement to Mary, whom he calls the "highly favored one", that she is to be the bearer of the Lord and Savior of Israel and all of mankind. Get prepared, as we explore how we, each of us, are God's highly favored ones.
For those of us who are ancient, we remember the Danny Thomas show of the 50's, "Make Room for Daddy". It's Advent season, and as we approach Christmas our guest speaker this morning, Jean Watson, shares with us how we might begin preparing for the annual remembrance of the birth of our Lord and Savior. Let's prepare to make room for Jesus.
Mrs. Watson is a composer, violinist and singer. She also has a daily radio program broadcast in the United Kingdom, sharing the love of Jesus. For 400 years before the birth of Jesus, God was silent. No prophet, no communication of any sort was heard. But then, out of the blue, Gabriel shows up, the one who stands in the Presence of God. But what is the one and the two of this 1-2 punch? Let's listen.
Here we are again... Thanksgiving. While so many have participated in a tradition of sharing around the Thanksgiving table something for which they can be thankful before diving into the turkey and fixings, this year Pastor Nancy shares from her book of morning meetings with the Lord her top ten best. Each day, before the madness gets rolling, she sits by the front window looking into the woods, sitting in her Norwegian Uncle Flink's grand old oak rocking chair and searches Scripture. And every once in a while there's a verse or verses that slaps her in the face. Those moments that you know that you know that you know that our Living God has something particularly just for you. And at that moment you know you are loved by Him and Him alone. Let's listen as she shares.
