Very few people truly understand the times in which we live. Over the past 2,000 years, Christianity was birthed in blood, sacrifice and the tears of the saints. Then the needs of survival crept in, and very slowly, the fear of losing power. That entrapment has lasted over much of the past two millennia. Leadership can be influenced very easily over time, but the man, woman, and child "on the street" through the centuries has never changed. The faithful are seeking Christ in their hearts always. And that's the concern here today. The faithful, if ever there has been a time in history since Jesus trod over the dirt roads of Israel, today is the day when each of us needs to understand the absolute necessity of burning our boats and never looking back. Being sold out to Our Living Lord and His Father and empowered by the Spirit of God Himself needs to be at the heart of everything we think, say, and do in these most tragic days in history; tragic to the world, but the time of the dawn of Our Hope.

Just when you thought we've squeezed everything we can out of the main event of The Garden, it's time to take a second look. Join us in Genesis.
As we approach Easter, Pastor Nancy explores the sequence of that historic event. Today we take a look at the cross from the point of view of the thief that asked Jesus to remember him.
That's the way the advertisement reads in all the various publications. The Bible. Let's listen.
World history and the condition of this planet changed significantly when Jesus arrived on the scene. Many modern historians have criticized Christianity by pointing to the flaws of the Church over the centuries, but one thing cannot be denied. The early church was radical and its followers suffered immensely over the first two centuries, and because of them the known world experience radical change for the good. The history of the church since that time has not been superlative, but we are now living in times that need the same surge of life of those early believers. And what made the difference? Pastor Gerry Wilson peels that onion for us today.
Did you ever consider Simon the Zealot and Matthew and their differences? Hmm. This is the 4th session in our series on Jesus and His Church.
Here's part 3 of our series on Jesus and His Church.
A pastor once told his congregation that you can never take your mental acumen for granted. There may come a time, as it has and does with so many, when you're no longer able to make sense of much of anything. It's not that God can't punch through any thick wall, but if you have not seriously considered the eternal condition of your soul, don't let it turn out to be too late. Dying and finding yourself in hell is a hefty price to pay for procrastination. And the solution is so simple. Trust. Do it soon.
Jesus, willing to give His life as a sacrifice for all of mankind, has always been Plan A.
