The more we learn about who we are should invoke more of a response in us as to how we behave and how we affect or can affect others. Isn't that a major part, or possibly even the most important part of life... being this incredible source of outpouring to others. We want to be of value, both to God and to those people whom He brings across our daily paths.
We've all had the experience. You know the person...hasn't got a clue about the huge blind spot they've got and your first instinct is to find the nearest exit. On top of that, their arrogance trumps everyone's opinion in the room. Nancy addresses that potential tendency in all of us and delves into what Peter has to say on the matter.
Facebook. American Idol. Tweet. Everyone seems to be looking for significance, to be noticed, remembered, liked, loved. This incredible drive to be and to have significance is in all of us. Continuing in 1st Peter we need to understand the end game... exactly who we really are.
