I've been trying to track down a friend from high school. The second to last time I saw him we were still in college. He was the lead in a local music group, playing his piano in an old haunt, The Hairy Buffalo. Had lightening fingers and an amazing talent. Roll the tape forward a few years after we all got on with life. Next time was in San Francisco on a business trip. By that time he had his PhD in microbiology and was on the lead team that first cracked the genetic code of the human genome. Heady stuff. He's now deceased. He lived his entire life and cracked the code for the 1st 2 inches of his life. But what about the rest of the rope?

This series in particular hits home to any of us who have ever felt lost in our lives and a bit hopeless in seeing any end in sight.
Every conceivable idea the leadership had was very wrong and going down the wrong road. Bad thinking isn't the exclusive territory of leadership. We're all susceptible.
The things that clutter our life:
We buy the stuff We clean the stuff We display the stuff We manage the stuff We repair the stuff We replace the stuff and in the end we store the stuff. Another look at an old parable. |
